Hong Kong Express + t e l e p a t h テレパシー能力者

Wake up to a rainy day in Hong Kong. Distorted and looped synths and percussion create an ethereal, hazy daydream, peppered with whispers and the humdrum of modern life. Has received a lot of attention since its release - featured on several mainstream websites as one of the best albums of 2015.

Sacred Tapestry [AKA Vektroid]

The living legend Vektroid assumes the pseudonym Sacred Tapestry and composes a complete album from corporate muzak, Japanese commercials and beautiful synth waves. Listen to 移住 for some m e l a n c h o l y b l i s s.
Blank Banshee 1
BLΛNK BΛNSΗΣΣ

Blank Banshee builds upon BB0 and demonstrates an evocative mix of nostalgic samples wrapped up in trap-heavy packaging. Blank Banshee takes us from frantic percussion-heavy beats in BATH SALTS to transcendent, Donkey Kong Country-inspired bliss in JAVA CLOUDS. The barrage of nostalgic pop culture references intertwined with liberal use samples and language taken from the internet, and nods to nihilistic hedonism (think TEEN PREGNANCY and the acid drop), all tie together to make a slick parody of the millenial generation.
Memory Vague
Oneohtrix Point Never

Grandfather of vaporwave, OPN, uses an unusual approach to composition and creates an album that continues to distort and loop samples and layer synths quite unlike anyone else. The compoer-producer inverts the bland and generic tracks of pop music into unsettling demonstrations of their own cynicism.
POLYCHROMATIC COMPILER
VAPERROR

An other great album from VAPERROR, this time infusing infusing house into his upbeat and energetic tracks, creating what could have been the OST to something on the Dreamcast, à la Phantasy Star Online. Things get a little trippy towards the end, though. "Connecting to the GAMENET, please wait"...

World Class
Luxury Elite

You're an aspiring young yuppie just starting to make it big in the world of Wall Street. You show your interest to a realtor, the TRUMP Organization, in buying your own penthouse in upstate New York. You get a VHS in the post showcasing their different packages on offer; this is the music that plays in the background. For many Luxury Elite is the definitive sound of vaporwave.

Bae
Yung Bae

A great example of early future funk, Bae incorporates the carefree samples of Sailor Moon with classic soul, funk and disco tracks to make an album that's as unique as it is catchy. Sailorwave.

Hit Vibes
Saint Pepsi

Saint Pepsi has perhaps experienced more mainstream success than any other vaporwave artist, enjoying radio airtime. He could also possibly be credited for creating the spin-off "genre" of future funk, which this album, borrowing hooks from classic soul tracks, is full of. Don't be fooled though, Hit Vibes also lets us enjoy Saint Pepsi's older, more traditional vaporwave style.
